Introduction to GIR
GIR is an architecture and
specification for information retrieval in the context of grid computing.
Its purpose is to enable distributed, dynamic information
systems to be created and searched securely. GIR—sometimes
known informally as "GridIR"—is
a proposed international open standard. This web site provides information
